Welcome to the first Wondercafé Academy of the “After” WBA.

First of all, I want to clear things up and answer the big question everypony’s been wondering about:
Will there be a Version 3 — or a rebirth of the WBA as it once was?

For now, nothing is certain.
The fear of leading a group is still there, but after talking with my friends and colleagues, every single one of them told me the same thing:
It would be a waste not to keep sharing my skills.

I made mistakes in the old WBA — I won’t deny it.
We all acted on emotions back then.
We all said and did things we deeply regret.

The WBA made me happy, but as time went on, I started to disagree more and more with the decisions of other officers.
Add to that my health problems, my anger issues… and it didn’t help.

Should I have stopped sooner? Maybe.
But it wouldn’t have avoided the drama that followed anyway.
And today… we’ve split apart.

There’s now a “democratic” WBA, based on votes and shared decisions — a WBA where I’m currently banned — and there’s our test lab.
Will our lab become another fork of the WBA?
I don’t know. Maybe it will.

At first, I didn’t want that.
But seeing how motivated you all are, how you’ve adapted despite the split, yes — I want to be involved again.
I want to feel that spark of leadership again, like last year, when I created Version 1.

Because this Wondercafé Academy isn’t just the first one of the “After WBA” era — it’s also the anniversary of the WBA itself.

From the bottom of my heart — thank you.
To all of you. Even those who chose to fly their own way in the other fork.

And at the center of it all stood one pony—Senior Airpony Rose, who officially earned her Bronze Medal of Speed in a moment as radiant as her flight path.

Under the glowing canopy of the ceremonial garden, the Wonderbolts gathered once more to honor a flyer whose journey has touched every bolt present. The one we call Derpgon, DD, or simply Ender, stepped into a brighter spotlight today — promoted to Airpony First Class.

Captain Rainbow Dash opened the ceremony with pride, their voice full of emotion and a sparkle of mischief.

“Today’s we’re reunified for celebrating Ender, our derpgon, aka DD for intimacy, my most bigger fan and student ever heavy breathe.”

That breath? Felt across the entire Academy.

Then came the boop ritual. Ender chose their boopmates: Gabby, Doge, Tulip, and the Captain. On Star Trail’s countdown, the ritual commenced.

“Boop!”

It ended with cheers, laughter, and a big group photo under the arbor lights — where Ender stood proud in their AP1C patch.

Under the shaded arch of blooming lights and standing on golden sand, Wonderbolts gathered — not for training or racing, but for honor. Today was no ordinary day. Today, Captain Rainbow Dash received two Medals of Leadership, Bronze and Silver, surrounded by friends, family, and the very ponies they’ve inspired day after day.

From the moment Bow Hothoof appeared by the arch, it was clear this wouldn’t just be another official moment. This was family. And everybolt could feel it.

“I’m going to get decorated with two medals in 15 minutes,” Dash said proudly.

From the moment Pink Lizord asked where to get a uniform, to the final shout of “Altius Volantis, Soaring Higher!”, today’s session was one of the most delightfully chaotic, determined, and dazzling events I’ve witnessed from the skies.

Warmups started strong thanks to Staff Sergeant Starlight, who took the reins with enthusiasm. She assigned each color a workout—red for push-ups, yellow for burpees, green for flappy jacks, and blue for squats. And yes, they got sweaty. Very sweaty. But not before we had to locate a missing set of wings, share some laughs, and assign Prism Dust a well-earned VIP status.

“I’m proud of u all and I can see u all sweating—ugh XD,” Starlight admitted with a grin, keeping spirits high.

Sonic Rainbooms and Booming Friendship
With a sparkle in her eye and caffeine in her veins, APB Prism Dust took on the role of “boomer” in the now-iconic Sonic Rainboom formation—narratively delivered, of course:
—“The Sonic Rainboom!”
—“You’re more than me. You’re my student,” Rainbow Dash encouraged, passing the torch of inspiration.

Laughter flowed as “jumpsweat” suits were mentioned, names got fumbled, and encouragement zipped from one flier to the next. The formation drills became second nature, with repeated resets, rotations, and booms. When Rainbow Dash shouted, “I CAN’T HEAR YOU, D’YALL WANT MORE?” the team roared back with energy only a Wonderbolt could conjure.

A Race With Heart (and Laps)
Next, the squad was split into Blue vs. Purple for a teamwork race challenge. The rules were clear: don’t outrun your lead and stay close. With all eyes on their partners, Purple team took the win—but not without humorous stops and speedy slips.

In a surprise free-for-all (FFA) finale, Rainbow Dash amped it up from 3 laps to 5 in seconds, teasing:
—“You sure? Okay then 4 laps.”
—“5 laps?”
—“OKAY 5 LAPS.”

As expected, Starlight crossed the line first—earning the honorary title of God Racer from Prism, and a playful “SMELL SWEATS, USE DEO. PLEASE.” from Dash herself.

From Training to Teaching: A Quiz Showdown
To cool off brains while muscles cooled down, Dash launched an open-book history quiz. Highlights include:

General Firefly as the Wonderbolts’ founder
Captain Spitfire for fierce Academy discipline
Colonel Purple Dart for “never leaving a pony behind”
And of course, the motto all shouted in unison:
—“Altius Volantis, Soaring Higher!”

A few scoring hiccups followed—Rainbow Dash insisted on deducting her own points for miscounting laps (because integrity matters), and returned the favor by trimming a point from Starlight’s warmup tally for skipping a rotation.
—“I should have been scored with loyalty and honesty. I did mistake I have to pay it,” she said, exemplifying the Academy values in action.

Skydrop’s Reflection
Today wasn’t just a flight session—it was a full display of what the Wonderbolts Academy stands for: laughter, effort, discipline, friendship, and flight with meaning. Even in miscounts and mistypes (jumpsweat, anyone?), the team soared—literally and metaphorically.

Prism Dust shined, Starlight led like a pro, Scootaloo stayed steady, and Dash reminded everypony that being a Wonderbolt isn’t about perfection—it’s about passion.
