Warmups started strong thanks to Staff Sergeant Starlight, who took the reins with enthusiasm. She assigned each color a workout—red for push-ups, yellow for burpees, green for flappy jacks, and blue for squats. And yes, they got sweaty. Very sweaty. But not before we had to locate a missing set of wings, share some laughs, and assign Prism Dust a well-earned VIP status.

“I’m proud of u all and I can see u all sweating—ugh XD,” Starlight admitted with a grin, keeping spirits high.

Sonic Rainbooms and Booming Friendship
With a sparkle in her eye and caffeine in her veins, APB Prism Dust took on the role of “boomer” in the now-iconic Sonic Rainboom formation—narratively delivered, of course:

—“You’re more than me. You’re my student,” Rainbow Dash encouraged, passing the torch of inspiration.

Laughter flowed as “jumpsweat” suits were mentioned, names got fumbled, and encouragement zipped from one flier to the next. When Rainbow Dash shouted, “I CAN’T HEAR YOU, D’YALL WANT MORE?” the team roared back with energy only a Wonderbolt could conjure.

In a surprise free-for-all (FFA) finale, Rainbow Dash amped it up from 3 laps to 5 in seconds, teasing:

Sometimes, it doesn’t take a crowd to make history—just a dragon, a sergeant, and a rainbow. On this bright and breezy morning, a private training soared to life with SSGT Starlight, AP Ender, and SAP Rainbow Dash leading the charge in what would become a wholesome, hilarious, and high-flying session filled with loops, laughter, and life lessons.

“Private training with Sergeant Starlight Glimmer and my buddy DD,” Dash announced as the trio entered the field. “Let’s go!”

Warmups and Wingups

The session began with rotating dash drills and a warmup to get the wings moving. Dash led the countdowns with energy:

“Y’all know what to do — in 3… 2… 1… GO!”

Today’s session opened with a breeze of uncertainty — a small team, disconnections, and a few whispers sent out in hope. Rainbow Dash glanced around and asked playfully:

Led by SAP Rainbow Dash, with support from SSGT Starlight and several spirited cadets, the morning training shaped into something far beyond routine drills.

“Uniform if you wanna attend,” came the casual call from Dash, always blending duty with charm.

Warm-Ups: Skatzees and Laughter

As the cadets lined up, some sleepy, others nervously new, Dash set the tone with a quick team photo — a tradition for the journal. Then began the warm-up drills, color-coded chaos explained with a grin:

— “Red is for push-ups. Yellow is for burpees. Green is for flappy jacks. Blue is for squats — also called SKATZEES.”

Newcomer Apple Bite chimed in with a bit of honesty:

Arrival, Wings, and Warmups

The training began as all good stories do—with a roll call, a wing stretch, and a warmup. Cadets were lively and quick to form ranks as AP Candace laid out the structure: four color-coded stations—burpees, flappy jacks, squats, and pushups—rotating at her command.

A few of us were getting into position when Rainbow Dash asked for a quick AFK pause:

—“Can I ptso? I need to afk rq (5/10mn)”
—“Yes,” replied Candace.

Classic start. Organized chaos. Just the way we like it.

Sonic Rainboom Formation: Fast and a Little Flustered

Then came the flight formation—a classic Wonderbolt move known as the Sonic Rainboom.
Candace broke it down: inner circle flyers move slow, outer circle flyers bolt fast.
Simple, right? Well… not at first.

A bit of color confusion, mid-explanation DCs, and one pretty big moment of mix-up led to Tulip politely PTS-ing twice before being acknowledged. When they finally got their question through, Candace apologized and reclarified the role of each group. Magma caught a contradiction and called it out. The air was thick with PTSs and clarification requests.

It was messy. But it was our kind of messy.

Relay Races and Ridiculousness

Race time.

A Fresh Breeze Over the Academy

A warm gust of laughter and mischief swept through the training grounds tonight as the Wonderbolts Academy hosted another high-flying evening of drills, mentorship, and honest-to-Celestia chaos. With the Ringlet formation set as the night’s focus, SAP Rainbow Dash led a spirited (and hilariously wobbly) session, welcoming new cadets into the rhythm of the sky.

Warmups, Wobbles & Wingups

Training opened with Dashie’s Introduction Station, where red, yellow, green, and blue mats awaited… but surprise! They were set up backwards. Cue laughter. Cue chaos. Cue one iconic save:

Flappy jacks led into squatzees, and somehow everypony came out stronger and smiling.

Next up? Formation flying. The ringlet was the focus, with seasoned fliers like Reaching Heights stepping in to demo alongside Dash. New cadets were invited to follow the pony in front of them — and while not every line was perfect, the spirit of the squad was.

— “It wasn’t bad for a first time,” said Dash. “And really not bad for a first first time.”

Rookie Wings, Big Hearts

Among the standout recruits were Silver Luna, Chitterberry, and Stormspeed, all braving their first training flight. From colorblind hiccups to unfamiliar maneuvers, they faced the skies head-on. Silver Luna, navigating her condition with a smile, delighted everypony when she explained:

“Orange is brown and easy to see.”

The squad rallied around her, even transforming the flyway into a fruit salad of learning — with shapes like lemons, pears, and apples helping turn confusion into clarity.

Relays, Zoomies & Bonus Sprints

The relay races brought speed, strategy, and a lot of giggles. Signs marked flight ↑ and run ↓ zones, and a few slip-ups (like Chitterberry’s flight-over-run moment) led to disqualifications — but nopony flew solo. Every mistake turned into a moment of learning and cheering.

Bonus? A Free-For-All sprint for extra points.
Winner? Starlight, with wings of fire and heart of gold.

One Last Bounce

As the stars blinked overhead, Dash closed training with a warm farewell.

— “Y’all so awesome we finish 10 mins early tonight.”
— “Altius Sleepitus,” she joked.

Last night, the skies of Wonderbolts Academy shimmered not with stars—but with chaos, sweat, and a brand-new flight pattern. Under the lead of SAP Rainbow Dash and LT Wave Glider, bolts across all ranks participated in a New Formation Trials session featuring a never-before-attempted move: The Purple Star Salutation.

This bold new formation was inspired by the final coronation flight from the My Little Pony series finale, adapted specially for WBA skies.

Warmups and Wing Rotations

The evening began with good old-fashioned warmups. Rainbow Dash ran the cadets through coordinated carpet exercises, engaging everypony’s memory and agility.

After several rotation drills and a few slips from newer bolts like God Apple, the group took flight.

Formation Reveal: The Purple Star Salutation

Rainbow Dash then unveiled the night’s centerpiece: a mirrored flight formation split into Blue Team and Yellow Team. The objective? Synchronize flight paths perfectly so mirrored teammates would meet on a vertical rainbow line, bounce in unison, and return to formation—without stopping.

The pattern required awareness, communication, and a whole lot of midair adaptability. While Scootaloo found it manageable and fun, Gripwing was less convinced, initially calling it “awful” (before admitting it was “perfecto” later on).

Despite a few bumpy attempts and a humorous moment when Gripwing veered wildly off path—”It was the white lane’s fault!”—the team showed steady improvement.

Synchro Goals and New Rules

Rainbow introduced a vital new rule mid-flight:

“If you arrive first at the white line—wait for your mirrored teammate.”

This rule helped tighten synchronization, with pairs like Wave Glider and Gripwing, and Lime Berry and Thunder Sky, praised for their precision. Others took time but gradually found their rhythm.

Races, Zoomies, and Laughter

After formation drills, the team transitioned into relay races and a fast-paced FFA lap. Amid some confusion and a few “lag” excuses (we’re looking at you, Celestia ), Starlight Glimmer sprinted to first place, earning cheers and GG’s from all sides.

Locker Room Reflections

Back in the locker room, Dash checked in with everypony about the new move. Here’s what the bolts had to say:

• Starlight: “It’s kinda hard—but I really like it!”
• Scootaloo: “I liked it.”
• Prism Dust: “Pretty cool!”
• Thunder Sky: “A good challenge, I love it.”

Even Gripwing, the loudest critic of the night, called it “a-a-a-Perfecto.”
