By Skydrop Quillfeather 🦋 A Morning Full of Flight, Fun, and Fierce FeathersFrom the moment Pink Lizord asked where to […]

By Skydrop Quillfeather

A Morning Full of Flight, Fun, and Fierce Feathers
From the moment Pink Lizord asked where to get a uniform, to the final shout of “Altius Volantis, Soaring Higher!”, today’s session was one of the most delightfully chaotic, determined, and dazzling events I’ve witnessed from the skies.

Warmups started strong thanks to Staff Sergeant Starlight, who took the reins with enthusiasm. She assigned each color a workout—red for push-ups, yellow for burpees, green for flappy jacks, and blue for squats. And yes, they got sweaty. Very sweaty. But not before we had to locate a missing set of wings, share some laughs, and assign Prism Dust a well-earned VIP status.

“I’m proud of u all and I can see u all sweating—ugh XD,” Starlight admitted with a grin, keeping spirits high.

Sonic Rainbooms and Booming Friendship
With a sparkle in her eye and caffeine in her veins, APB Prism Dust took on the role of “boomer” in the now-iconic Sonic Rainboom formation—narratively delivered, of course:
—“The Sonic Rainboom!”
—“You’re more than me. You’re my student,” Rainbow Dash encouraged, passing the torch of inspiration.

Laughter flowed as “jumpsweat” suits were mentioned, names got fumbled, and encouragement zipped from one flier to the next. The formation drills became second nature, with repeated resets, rotations, and booms. When Rainbow Dash shouted, “I CAN’T HEAR YOU, D’YALL WANT MORE?” the team roared back with energy only a Wonderbolt could conjure.

A Race With Heart (and Laps)
Next, the squad was split into Blue vs. Purple for a teamwork race challenge. The rules were clear: don’t outrun your lead and stay close. With all eyes on their partners, Purple team took the win—but not without humorous stops and speedy slips.

In a surprise free-for-all (FFA) finale, Rainbow Dash amped it up from 3 laps to 5 in seconds, teasing:
—“You sure? Okay then 4 laps.”
—“5 laps?”
—“OKAY 5 LAPS.”

As expected, Starlight crossed the line first—earning the honorary title of God Racer from Prism, and a playful “SMELL SWEATS, USE DEO. PLEASE.” from Dash herself.

From Training to Teaching: A Quiz Showdown
To cool off brains while muscles cooled down, Dash launched an open-book history quiz. Highlights include:

General Firefly as the Wonderbolts’ founder
Captain Spitfire for fierce Academy discipline
Colonel Purple Dart for “never leaving a pony behind”
And of course, the motto all shouted in unison:
—“Altius Volantis, Soaring Higher!”

A few scoring hiccups followed—Rainbow Dash insisted on deducting her own points for miscounting laps (because integrity matters), and returned the favor by trimming a point from Starlight’s warmup tally for skipping a rotation.
—“I should have been scored with loyalty and honesty. I did mistake I have to pay it,” she said, exemplifying the Academy values in action.

Skydrop’s Reflection
Today wasn’t just a flight session—it was a full display of what the Wonderbolts Academy stands for: laughter, effort, discipline, friendship, and flight with meaning. Even in miscounts and mistypes (jumpsweat, anyone?), the team soared—literally and metaphorically.

Prism Dust shined, Starlight led like a pro, Scootaloo stayed steady, and Dash reminded everypony that being a Wonderbolt isn’t about perfection—it’s about passion.

Until next time, bolts.

Skydrop Quillfeather
WBA Correspondent – Heart of the Skies

🕐 An Afternoon Training of Precision, Speed, and Support 📸 A Photo, a Warmup, a First Flight Today’s session began […]

An Afternoon Training of Precision, Speed, and Support

A Photo, a Warmup, a First Flight

Today’s session began not with drills, but with a click! — as SAP Rainbow Dash gathered the ponies for a group picture before launching into flight. And this time, leadership came from a rising bolt: SAP Flurry Heart led warmups for the first time ever!

“Red, blue, green, yellow… 3, 2, 1, go!” Flurry called with energy and precision.

The team followed enthusiastically, ending the sequence to the cheers of their comrades.

“Ovation for Flurry, his first leading!” Dash encouraged, and everypony responded with joy.

Formation Shift: The Mare Do Well Shuffle

The first flight drill was based on a slightly modified Mare Do Well formation. Dash explained a role-switching exercise mid-run that had everypony rotating across color pads after each lap — red to blue, blue to yellow, and back again. Confusion sparked, but clarity quickly followed:

“You’re gonna stop on blue, then yellow, then red… make sense?” Dash explained with care.

Through slow-paced repetitions and faster trials, the team gained confidence. Though some faced lag or mistakes, kindness ruled the clouds:

“Don’t be sorry,” Dash reassured. “We’re here to learn.”

Time Trials & Relay Support

Next came the relay-style time trial where every pegasus flew two laps before passing the virtual baton. Despite early missteps, particularly from APB Luna, support never wavered:

“Look, you just don’t get it, and it’s okay,” Dash said. “It happens. What’s wrong after all? You got it wrong — and so what?”

Dash’s words carried the weight of true leadership, helping Luna return and complete her laps with honor:

Starlight: 1:35.17

Luna: 1:41.85

Flurry: 1:37.21

Candace: 1:38.03

“Y’all had good scores,” Dash praised. “Congratulations everyone!”

Reflection on Leadership

The final portion of the training was a short but powerful Leadership Data Drill. With only four bolts present, Dash encouraged louder participation — and the answers came flowing:

“Setting a positive example to inspire others!”
“Take them under your wing and mentor them.”
“Stand up to bullies and support the victim.”
“Failure helps you grow, learn, and move forward.”

Dash nodded approvingly:

“Yay, like Luna earlier on the raceway.”

There was pride in the air — pride in growth, in support, and in never giving up.

Skydrop’s Final Thoughts

From Flurry’s first leading moment to Starlight’s flawless races, from Candace’s steady performance to Luna’s return from doubt, this session showcased everything the Wonderbolts Academy stands for: resilience, humility, and unity.

Even when ponies stumble, they rise — not alone, but lifted by the wings of their team.

“What’s our motto?” Dash called.

And together, the voices rang out:

“Altius Volantis, Soaring Higher!”

Morning Glory, Wonderbolt Style

Sometimes, it doesn’t take a crowd to make history—just a dragon, a sergeant, and a rainbow. On this bright and breezy morning, a private training soared to life with SSGT Starlight, AP Ender, and SAP Rainbow Dash leading the charge in what would become a wholesome, hilarious, and high-flying session filled with loops, laughter, and life lessons.

“Private training with Sergeant Starlight Glimmer and my buddy DD,” Dash announced as the trio entered the field. “Let’s go!”

Warmups and Wingups

The session began with rotating dash drills and a warmup to get the wings moving. Dash led the countdowns with energy:

“Y’all know what to do — in 3… 2… 1… GO!”

A burst of movement followed, full of shuffles and twirls. And then came the surprise:

“Skwatzee time!” Dash grinned. “I have the bird on my shoulder lmao.”

Soon after, it was formation time. The classic Looping V1 made a return:

“It’s the first WBA formation,” Dash reminded. “When we started, it was with this one.”

With Starlight leading and Ender following close behind, the formation ran twice—slow and steady.

“Y’all doing good,” said Dash proudly. “Can’t do better myself.”

Zoomies, Races, and… a Kitten

The training shifted gears with color-coded speed laps and classic no-dot runs. Ender nailed them despite minor interruptions:

“Kitten tried escaping,” they confessed, “the cat is in cuddle jail now ToT.”

Even lag and a sleepy kitten couldn’t stop the Derpgon from scoring decent laps during the Time Trial Showdown:

Starlight’s best lap: 00:47:75

Ender’s best lap: 00:48:42

“You did well anyway,” Dash cheered. “Good times.”

The final FFA race brought it all together:

“It’s just straight up bullying the enlisted ;-;” Starlight joked, taking the win with grace.

A Lesson on Competition and Conduct

The training didn’t stop in the air—it landed into the books with a spontaneous Wonderbolt Handbook Lesson on Competition & Conduct.

Dash read:

“Competition isn’t about showing off or belittling your opponents; it’s about rising to the occasion and finding out what kind of pony you are when the heat is on.”

Starlight responded first:

“It’s best to cheer and tell others they can do it… competition is not about winning, but about a cadet’s true potential and faith in the WBA!”

Ender followed with insight:

“Even if cadets become rivals, it’s important to keep that respect… that’s what brings us together.”

The trio wrapped it up perfectly with the key value at the heart of it all:

“In a word,” said Dash, “this lesson will be shortened to… HUMILITY.”

Final Thoughts from the Cloudlines

From synchronized flights to racing records and wisdom on sportsponyship, this intimate session was a heartfelt reminder that it’s not the number of attendees that defines success, but the unity, joy, and growth shared in the sky.

“Altius Volantis, Soaring Higher!” rang out from every voice in perfect harmony.

And that, my fellow flyers, is what Wonderbolts are made of.

A Skydrop Quillfeather article

A QUIET START, A BRIGHT CLIMB

Today’s session opened with a breeze of uncertainty — a small team, disconnections, and a few whispers sent out in hope. Rainbow Dash glanced around and asked playfully:

— “We’re going to be 4?”

But the beauty of a small class? It turns into a family flight real fast. Cadet Apple Bite shared some sharp insight about the skies being filled with “WB-like” groups these days, and the tone was set — proud, light-hearted, and ready to soar.

Because no matter who joins the skies, Wonderbolts fly the highest.

WARMUPS & WINGBEATS

The warmup station kicked off with sit-ups on the blue square — and a quick reminder from Dash when everypony started doing push-ups by instinct.
— “Ehm… that’s push ups. Sit ups!”

From there, rotations came fast. Sit, turn, repeat. Each move sharpened wings and minds.

Then came Dash’s favorite formation:

THE INFINITE LOOP

— “It gonna be your most complicated formation of your life and ever… You have to follow the pone in front of you.”

Apple Bite jumped in despite being new. Mistakes were made. Lessons were learned. Spacing needed work.
But the vibe? Electric. Supportive. Full of laughter.

And when Cadet Apple Bite shouted out their own tip for turning faster —
— “When she turns, you start turning.”
Rainbow lit up. That’s what training’s about.

FRUIT RELAY MADNESS

No full race squad? No problem. Dash whipped up a new game on the fly: Fruit Relay Race.

— “Y’all going to run like a fruit relay race. And I’m gonna time you.”

Everypony got it eventually — pass the fruit, don’t cross early, run your lap, go full throttle.
The reward? Points. And pride.

FINAL TIMINGS:

Apple Bite – 00:50:08

Starlight – 00:51:44

Luna – 00:53:20

And then, for bonus points:

FFA RACE:

— “2 laps. GO!”

Starlight snatched the win.
The arena buzzed with cheers, gasps, and a few silly fruit jokes.

CLASS TIME: THE LEGEND OF THE WONDERBOLTS

Back at class, everypony took a seat. It was time to fly through history, not just the skies.

— “As always, rise your hoof to reply. Pts is always on in class.”

First question:

“Who picked the first elite team of Pegasi for aerial displays?”
— “General Firefly.” (Sergeant nailed it.)

Second question:

“Why was the Wonderbolts Academy founded?”
Apple struggled, but didn’t give up. Dash reminded him:

— “Take your time. You can do it.”
Eventually, he hit the mark:
— “To train future fliers?”
— “YES!”

Final question:

“What makes somepony a Wonderbolt?”
Luna stood tall:
— “Teamwork, discipline, honesty and strong character?”

Perfect answer. The team was glowing.

SKYDROP’S REFLECTIONS

What made today special wasn’t just the clever formations or creative games. It was the feeling. The growth. The support. Watching Cadet Apple Bite rise despite difficulties. Seeing Luna shine in class. Hearing Starlight share knowledge while still learning.

That’s what it means to be a Wonderbolt.

Rainbow Dash put it best when she closed the day:

“Altius Volantis – Soaring Higher!”
“Together, we can reach new high — we just proven it.”

And with that, everybolt took off — stronger, prouder, and ready for what’s next.

Until our wings meet again,
Skydrop Quillfeather

Wonderbolts Academy Flight Press
By Skydrop Quillfeather

A Night for New Voices

This session opened under a sky full of opportunity — not just for flying, but for learning how to lead. SAP Rainbow Dash welcomed cadets in with her usual brisk energy:
— “Those who never led the warms up and wanna try in front of me please.”

After a roll-off, Gabby took the lead with a phenomenal roll of 98. Encouraged gently by Dash (“Do you need help or I let you do?”), Gabby stepped up to guide her fellow fliers through warm-ups. She quickly got the hang of calling rotations and checking understanding, even asking,
— “Everyone know what to do?”

It was her first try, but she handled the pacing well and kept spirits high, especially after a reminder from Dash:
— “Don’t forget to give motivation sometimes. It’s important… for the mood.”

Rainbooms and Determination

Next came formations, and Derpgon (Ender) won the roll to lead. He selected the iconic Sonic Rainboom formation — much to the delight of the squad:
— “YAYYYY RAINBOOM” cried Tulip.
— “I LOVE sonic rainboom” echoed Cloud Soar.

Dash stepped in to co-guide the setup with Ender, clarifying details like red direction cues and center placement, then turned over full control. The moment Tulip rolled a perfect 100, everypony reacted with disbelief and cheers.
— “tulip go boomer dot,” Ender directed, and the whole line filled in smoothly for both slow and fast booming drills.

Despite some giggles and internet hiccups, the formations were performed with increasing precision. Dash made sure the timing was respected and even pointed out a uniform naming detail:
— “Nicknames are tolerated only on Flight Jackets, not on training unis.”

Races and Rivalries

Moving into races, Prism Dust took the lead with confidence. She explained the basics (“You are only allowed to fly when the sign is pointed up”) and ensured the teams were clear on the laps. Dash supported from the skies:
— “I can see the whole map here.”

The races were packed with energy and friendly banter. From Tulip’s joke — “Eat my dust /j” — to the newly anointed “Cheaterberry” nickname for Chitterberry (thanks to some playful teasing), the mood was light and electric.

Even a Free-For-All race made it in before the final segment. Scootaloo clinched a surprise win, saying,
— “wow I never thought I’d win a ffa.”

Learning to Soar

With the clock ticking, class began on the Rules for School. Cloud Soar led the quiz session — their first time — and did a solid job, gently corrected by Dash and Ender where needed (“Reminder, it’s whispers,” and “Don’t forget to remind people to use pts”).

From HQ rules to classroom behavior and common areas, cadets whispered their answers while Cloud Soar got more comfortable in the role. Tulip and Chitterberry even caused a small giggle storm during their turn to answer.

The quiz concluded with everypony proudly declaring the Wonderbolts motto:
“Altius Volantis, Soaring Higher!”

Closing Thoughts

Tonight’s training wasn’t just about technique — it was about growing confidence, stepping into new roles, and building community. Whether it was leading formations, running a race, or taking the quiz podium for the first time, each cadet took flight in more ways than one.

As SAP Rainbow Dash wrapped up and headed to bed, she reminded everypony:
— “Scores will be late to come as every lil’ leaders will score you.”

Rest well, Wonderbolts — you’ve earned it.

Skydrop Quillfeather
Wonderbolts Academy Flight Press

By Skydrop Quillfeather – Wonderbolts Flight Press

Dawn at the Academy

The sun hadn’t even stretched over the horizon when the Wonderbolts Academy skies were already alive. At earl in the morning, our cadets gathered, groggy-eyed yet eager, for a session that would prove to be both sweat-drenched and brain-buzzing. Led by SAP Rainbow Dash, with support from SSGT Starlight and several spirited cadets, the morning training shaped into something far beyond routine drills.

“Uniform if you wanna attend,” came the casual call from Dash, always blending duty with charm.

Warm-Ups: Skatzees and Laughter

As the cadets lined up, some sleepy, others nervously new, Dash set the tone with a quick team photo — a tradition for the journal. Then began the warm-up drills, color-coded chaos explained with a grin:

— “Red is for push-ups. Yellow is for burpees. Green is for flappy jacks. Blue is for squats — also called SKATZEES.”

Newcomer Apple Bite chimed in with a bit of honesty:
— “I just need someone to show me what to do for formations lol.”
No worries — guidance was offered with patience and encouragement.

Formations in Flight: Chevron to Ringlet

Today’s featured formation began as a Chevron but quickly shifted into a Ringlet to better match the group’s confidence. Demonstrations by team leads smoothed the jitters as Apple Bite admitted,
— “Like a once look at what it is, then I can prob do it.”
They nailed it — proving again that bravery isn’t just about speed, but the courage to learn.

Even with mobile users wobbling (“Sorry, I’m getting used to mobile again ToT”), the spirit soared. Encouragement was constant, with Rainbow Dash cheering:
— “It’s ok if you struggle or get lost, it’s expected. Just do your best.”

Relay and FFA Races: Wings at Full Throttle

The next stage brought the cadets to the raceway, where fun really took off. A relay race tested teamwork and coordination. There were a few stumbles (“I got stuck twice tot”), but also plenty of giggles and grit.

When Free-For-All (FFA) was announced, the room lit up. The first to cross the finish line on Dash’s screen?
— “Cheaterberry!” came the teasing declaration.
Even Apple Bite laughed, claiming, “It was me on my screen </3”

“Always think of yourself as 2 hoofs behind them,” someone wisely advised — a trick for dealing with screen lag.

Class Time: Trivia with a Twist

As sweat cooled and wings folded, the session turned scholarly. Rainbow Dash transitioned into a rapid-fire trivia game based on training protocols. With questions pulled from the new Hoofbook lessons, cadets had to whisper their answers:

— “Can the FFA race be skipped? If so, when?”
— “Which training type is open to guests?”
— “Name the four warm-up exercises and their colors.”

Each correct answer brought the player a step closer to the trophy line. As Rainbow put it:
— “When you’re at the last line… go and boop the trophy. Means you win.”

The winners? Ender and Cheaterberry — though in true Wonderbolts spirit, they tried to give the win to one another.

Final Moments: Unity in the Sky

As tradition dictates, the final class moment was reserved for a unifying cheer. When Dash shouted the cue, every cadet rose their voices loud and proud:

— “Altius Volantis, Soaring Higher!!”

Laughter lingered in the air, and despite the early hour, it felt like midday from the warmth of camaraderie.

Skydrop’s Thoughts

This session reminded me that flight isn’t just physical — it’s mental, emotional, and shared. Watching these cadets struggle, support, and soar together lit something in my heart. Trivia, teamwork, teasing — it’s all part of the wind beneath our wings.

Whether you’re new like Apple Bite, determined like Derpgon, or leading like Starlight and Dash — the Wonderbolts aren’t just a squad. We’re a sky full of stars, learning to shine together.

Until next time, cadets…

Skydrop Quillfeather

Another day of feathers, flightpaths, and full-speed flirtations at the Wonderbolts Academy. 🌤️ Arrival, Wings, and Warmups The training began […]

Another day of feathers, flightpaths, and full-speed flirtations at the Wonderbolts Academy.

Arrival, Wings, and Warmups

The training began as all good stories do—with a roll call, a wing stretch, and a warmup. Cadets were lively and quick to form ranks as AP Candace laid out the structure: four color-coded stations—burpees, flappy jacks, squats, and pushups—rotating at her command.

A few of us were getting into position when Rainbow Dash asked for a quick AFK pause:

—“Can I ptso? I need to afk rq (5/10mn)”
—“Yes,” replied Candace.

Classic start. Organized chaos. Just the way we like it.

Sonic Rainboom Formation: Fast and a Little Flustered

Then came the flight formation—a classic Wonderbolt move known as the Sonic Rainboom.
Candace broke it down: inner circle flyers move slow, outer circle flyers bolt fast.
Simple, right? Well… not at first.

A bit of color confusion, mid-explanation DCs, and one pretty big moment of mix-up led to Tulip politely PTS-ing twice before being acknowledged. When they finally got their question through, Candace apologized and reclarified the role of each group. Magma caught a contradiction and called it out. The air was thick with PTSs and clarification requests.

It was messy. But it was our kind of messy.

—“That was perfect everypony.”
—“Wow awesome job! That looked smooth.” —AP Candace

We were back on track.

Relay Races and Ridiculousness

Race time.
Teams split, flight suits adjusted, and everypony took off in relays. And that’s where the feathers really hit the fan.

Reaching Heights crossed the line just ahead of Rainbow Dash and teased:

—“How was my dust?”

To which Dash—deadpan, shameless, and iconic—replied:

—“I let you win. I was only staring on your butt~~”

BREAKING: I dropped my clipboard. Scootaloo panicked.
And I quote:

—“Dashie don’t say that around the Bolts!”

Meanwhile, Celine was melting into a soft giggle and everypony else pretended they didn’t hear that.
(They did. We all did.)

Fireflies and Faux-Pas

As races continued, a few hiccups emerged. Ender accidentally skipped the firefly obstacle and had to redo his round—taking it like a pro. Prism reminded everypony:

—“Don’t walk at the fire fly!”

A helpful pointer, and it kept things smooth going forward. There was so much mutual support this round. Celine doubted herself. Celestia hesitated. Luv freaked out in VC. But still—everyone pushed on.

Ender nailed the redo. Celestia pulled through. The crowd erupted in tiny emojis and proud nicknames.

Cookie Class: Knowing Your Role

Class wrapped things up, and it was time to dig into the lesson: Knowing Your Role.

Ponies raised hooves and answered questions from the Academy hoofbook with sharp minds and sincere hearts. Magma, Dash, Prism, Celine, Fluttershy, Ender, Wave… Everypony contributed. Candace handed out snacks like party favors for every correct answer.

—“What’s more important than just flying fast at the Academy?”
—“Being an effective teammate.” —Prism Dust

The final cheer?
The full regimental roar of the Wonderbolts creed:

—“ALTIUS VOLANTIS! SOARING HIGHER!”

(Some ponies screamed it nine times. Lime Berry, I’m looking at you.)

Skydrop’s Final Thoughts

Warmups were intense. Formations had hiccups. Races were spicy. The class? A blast.

But what hit me hardest was how much love there was in the air. Tulip sticking around despite connection drops. Reaching, Dash, and Celine bantering like old friends at recess. Ender redoing a whole race without complaint.
No matter the chaos, we kept flying together. And that’s what really counts.

If every training was like this…
I’d never need a vacation.

Written by Skydrop Quillfeather, Official WBA Correspondent

Two ponies. One instructor. Zero excuses.
In the quiet morning hours, the runway welcomed a training session that would prove once again that sometimes, quality shines brighter than quantity. NSGT Soarin, with his ever-steady guidance (and an affinity for pies), led SAP Rainbow Dash and APB Ender through a warm and whimsical lesson — full of discipline, silliness, and yes… pie-flavored cookies.

Warm-ups with Whimsy

Ender kicked things off with some playful banter, sharing spooky stories and a touch of spiritual insight, while Soarin responded with his usual dry wit. Dash briefly stepped out for tea with Flurry but left kind encouragement for Ender, creating a warm blanket of support from the start.

When warmups began, Soarin flipped the rotation direction — a surprise that prompted Rainbow Dash to question the change:

“Soarin, I don’t get why you’re changing our habits.”
To which Soarin replied:
“Just trying to see if ponies would actually pay attention instead of autopiloting.”

Point made, Sergeant.

Flying in Color

From yellow and orange to green and blue, the two flyers transitioned through colorful Icaranian Sun Salutation and boop-timed takeoffs. Despite the tiny team, the energy never dropped.

At one point, Soarin praised them with a grin:

“Besides that, nicely done you two.”

Even as formations rotated quickly, Ender offered heartfelt appreciation:

“I get to fly with an awesome pony. And mentor.”

Cue smiles all around.

Race Day Shenanigans

The runway, however, wasn’t fully ready. Signs were missing, object limits were met, and markers were misplaced. Dash observed with precision and offered fixes — but object caps held them back. The result? A whole lot of laughter.

Ender joked,

“We ate that runway up,”

Eventually, they reran the races. Dash took the lead more than once, but when she attempted to hand over her win out of kindness, Soarin reminded everypony that rules are rules. The atmosphere stayed warm regardless.

“We’re both the best,” said Ender.
“Duh,” replied Soarin.

Class in the Open Sky

As the group moved toward the final class segment, Dash spoke up with honesty and vulnerability:

“I feel really really uncomfy getting class in literally A CHURCH. Can I skip class?”

Soarin responded not with rulebooks, but with heart:

“We can do class outside… We wanna include you. Two is better than one.”

They set up class outside — Wonderbolt adaptability in full swing. And thus began Soarin’s signature three-question quiz (aced by both Ender and Dash, naturally) and a touching life lesson on friendship.

“If you invite friends in your life, who knows what you can do?”
“You make an impact on a pony’s life. That is something valuable you should be proud of.”

Dash followed with something even more personal:

“Everyone in the team — and those who left — are my friends. They have my loyalty.”

That’s the magic Soarin was talking about. And in true Wonderbolt fashion, the final motto echoed under the sky:

“ALTIUS VOLANTIS, SOARING HIGHER!”

Final Thoughts

It was a small group, but the skies were wide open with camaraderie, jokes, resilience, and sincerity. SAP Rainbow Dash may not wear the Captain’s stripes anymore, but her heart still leads in formation. And Ender? They flew like a star ready to rise.

Training may have ended, but the echoes of laughter, boops, and heartfelt words will linger for many mornings to come.

Until the next flight,

Filed by Skydrop Quillfeather, Cloudbase Correspondent

A Fresh Breeze Over the Academy

A warm gust of laughter and mischief swept through the training grounds tonight as the Wonderbolts Academy hosted another high-flying evening of drills, mentorship, and honest-to-Celestia chaos. With the Ringlet formation set as the night’s focus, SAP Rainbow Dash led a spirited (and hilariously wobbly) session, welcoming new cadets into the rhythm of the sky.

Warmups, Wobbles & Wingups

Training opened with Dashie’s Introduction Station, where red, yellow, green, and blue mats awaited… but surprise! They were set up backwards. Cue laughter. Cue chaos. Cue one iconic save:

— “Tulip’s joke!” chuckled Dash.

Flappy jacks led into squatzees, and somehow everypony came out stronger and smiling.

Ringlets in Motion

Next up? Formation flying. The ringlet was the focus, with seasoned fliers like Reaching Heights stepping in to demo alongside Dash. New cadets were invited to follow the pony in front of them — and while not every line was perfect, the spirit of the squad was.

— “It wasn’t bad for a first time,” said Dash. “And really not bad for a first first time.”

Rookie Wings, Big Hearts

Among the standout recruits were Silver Luna, Chitterberry, and Stormspeed, all braving their first training flight. From colorblind hiccups to unfamiliar maneuvers, they faced the skies head-on. Silver Luna, navigating her condition with a smile, delighted everypony when she explained:

“Orange is brown and easy to see.”

The squad rallied around her, even transforming the flyway into a fruit salad of learning — with shapes like lemons, pears, and apples helping turn confusion into clarity.

Relays, Zoomies & Bonus Sprints

The relay races brought speed, strategy, and a lot of giggles. Signs marked flight ↑ and run ↓ zones, and a few slip-ups (like Chitterberry’s flight-over-run moment) led to disqualifications — but nopony flew solo. Every mistake turned into a moment of learning and cheering.

Bonus? A Free-For-All sprint for extra points.
Winner? Starlight, with wings of fire and heart of gold.

One Last Bounce

As the stars blinked overhead, Dash closed training with a warm farewell.

— “Y’all so awesome we finish 10 mins early tonight.”
— “Altius Sleepitus,” she joked.

A few giggles, a roster fix, and one last snack-table pun later, the clouds swallowed the squad.

Final Notes from the Sky

“Let my quill draw the letters of your history on paper,
while you draw flight formations to the skies.”

Until next time, Wonderbolts…
You flew higher tonight.

Skydrop Quillfeather

Filed by Skydrop Quillfeather, Cloudbase Correspondent

Last night, the skies of Wonderbolts Academy shimmered not with stars—but with chaos, sweat, and a brand-new flight pattern. Under the lead of SAP Rainbow Dash and LT Wave Glider, bolts across all ranks participated in a New Formation Trials session featuring a never-before-attempted move: The Purple Star Salutation.

This bold new formation was inspired by the final coronation flight from the My Little Pony series finale, adapted specially for WBA skies.

Warmups and Wing Rotations

The evening began with good old-fashioned warmups. Rainbow Dash ran the cadets through coordinated carpet exercises, engaging everypony’s memory and agility.

“I can smell your sweat!”
— Rainbow Dash, with just a hint of concern.

After several rotation drills and a few slips from newer bolts like God Apple, the group took flight.

Formation Reveal: The Purple Star Salutation

Rainbow Dash then unveiled the night’s centerpiece: a mirrored flight formation split into Blue Team and Yellow Team. The objective? Synchronize flight paths perfectly so mirrored teammates would meet on a vertical rainbow line, bounce in unison, and return to formation—without stopping.

“It’s not about stopping—it’s about timing.”
— SAP Rainbow Dash

The pattern required awareness, communication, and a whole lot of midair adaptability. While Scootaloo found it manageable and fun, Gripwing was less convinced, initially calling it “awful” (before admitting it was “perfecto” later on).

Despite a few bumpy attempts and a humorous moment when Gripwing veered wildly off path—”It was the white lane’s fault!”—the team showed steady improvement.

Synchro Goals and New Rules

Rainbow introduced a vital new rule mid-flight:

“If you arrive first at the white line—wait for your mirrored teammate.”

This rule helped tighten synchronization, with pairs like Wave Glider and Gripwing, and Lime Berry and Thunder Sky, praised for their precision. Others took time but gradually found their rhythm.

Races, Zoomies, and Laughter

After formation drills, the team transitioned into relay races and a fast-paced FFA lap. Amid some confusion and a few “lag” excuses (we’re looking at you, Celestia ), Starlight Glimmer sprinted to first place, earning cheers and GG’s from all sides.

Locker Room Reflections

Back in the locker room, Dash checked in with everypony about the new move. Here’s what the bolts had to say:

Starlight: “It’s kinda hard—but I really like it!”

Scootaloo: “I liked it.”

Prism Dust: “Pretty cool!”

Thunder Sky: “A good challenge, I love it.”

Lime Berry: “Confusing at first, but I got it.”

Princess Celestia: “Fun, colorful, and a little confusing—but good!”

Even Gripwing, the loudest critic of the night, called it “a-a-a-Perfecto.”

Final Thoughts from Skydrop

Sometimes, formation training isn’t about flawless execution—it’s about team effort, adaptability, and laughing through the turbulence.

The Purple Star Salutation might still need polish, but one thing is clear: the Wonderbolts aren’t afraid to try bold new maneuvers, even if it means crashing (gracefully) a few times along the way.

Altius Volantis. Soaring Higher.
— Skydrop Quillfeather
