🌨️ A Quiet Academy Under Winter’s Blanket
Week 49 was a softer, quieter chapter for the Wonderbolts Academy — fewer flights, fewer storms, but no shortage of warmth or laughter.
Snow covered the courtyards, the platforms, even the training squares, giving every gathering a gentle sparkle.
With fewer events and a lighter attendance, this week felt almost cozy.
But even small weeks have big moments — especially with this team.
🎨 Colors and Chaos on the Four Platforms
The Academy kicked off with a regrouping on the iconic red, yellow, green, and blue platforms.
Snowflakes drifted lazily in the background as bolts chatted, stretched, or simply enjoyed the view.
Rainbow Dash stood proudly near the red zone, Ice Shard gleamed like a walking icicle in the blue, and the cadets arranged themselves in their usual clusters of personality and mischief.
Everything was normal… until someone summoned a huge snow cloud in the middle and immediately wrote:
*farts*
Skydrop would like to personally request a journalist hazard bonus after witnessing that.
📸 The Winter Lineup
One of the highlights of this small week was the beautiful lineup in the snowy courtyard.
Everypony in uniform.
Everypony smiling.
Everypony framed by frost-covered trees.
Even if the group was smaller than usual, the picture radiated unity.
Small group or large crowd, the Wonderbolts shine the same.
🟥🟦 Chromatic Formation… With More Snow
Even with half the Academy resting or away, the chromatic formation exercise still went on.
On the left platform:
reds, oranges, yellows — the warm bolts, full of energy and jokes.
On the right platform:
greens, blues, and some brilliantly frosted manes — the cool-toned team, calm and collected… mostly.
Training went well, until confusion hit:
“What do you mean Fortis?”
Nopony ever figured out what Fortis meant, including Fortis.
Skydrop has chosen to accept this as cultural enrichment.
♟ A Chessboard Gathering
Midweek, the bolts migrated to the giant courtyard chessboard — a winter tradition, it seems.
Some stood like pieces, others chatted, a few just admired the scenery.
The statues above, covered in snow, gave the entire moment the aura of a holiday card.
The Academy may not play chess, but they sure know how to pose like champions.
🌙 A Peaceful Night in the Garden
The final screenshots of the week showed the Academy’s botanical hall bathed in night-blue lantern light.
Glowworms, hanging vines, soft rugs, warm tea, and a handful of bolts sharing calm conversations.
Rainbow Dash sat quietly at one of the tables, the day’s cold finally giving way to a serene glow.
Ice Shard and others gathered nearby, peaceful, smiling — not a drill, not a lesson, not a race.
Just warmth.
It was the perfect way to close a small but meaningful week.
