A New Formation Unleashed in Improvised Training
Cloudsdale Training Grounds — The skies trembled not from thunder, but from the synchronized wingbeats of Wonderbolts old and new as the Academy hosted a thrilling improvised training session that introduced a never-before-seen flight maneuver: The Kilonova.
Led by SAP Luv and SAP Magma Stone, this evening’s session was a fiery blend of warmups, rotations, experimental formations, and classic relay races. With collaboration, spirit, and a few communication hiccups, the bolts pushed through uncertainty to pull off a successful group performance worth remembering.
🏃 Warmups with a Purpose
Under the guidance of APB Candace, the warmup circuit launched everypony into motion with four signature stations: pushups (red), squats (blue), flappy-jacks (green), and burpees (yellow). Despite some late arrivals, costume changes, and confusion about the dress code, the energy remained upbeat and focused. Feedback flew as fast as the hooves, and leaders ensured everybolt knew their role.
🌌 The Debut of “Kilonova”
With formation leader SAP Magma Stone at the helm, cadets were introduced to Kilonova — a choreography echoing the majesty of a sonic rainboom. Here’s how it played out:

- Upon impact, the whole formation exploded outward in a dramatic left-right burst of speed and style.
- After a few attempts (and a couple false starts), the group nailed it with grace, power, and coordination.
Though confusion buzzed in the air like static, Magma’s patience and Luv’s encouragement paved the way to understanding. “Best way to learn is to try,” said Rainbow Dash during the briefing — and that’s exactly what they did.
🏁 Racing to the Finish
The event concluded with team relays, drawing laughter, camaraderie, and a bit of chaos. Teams of two galloped for victory with leaders like Ender, Tulip, Celestia, and Lime dashing for their corners. The final match saw Team Red claim glory, while APB Candace celebrated her very first win with exuberant joy:
“FIRST TIME WE WON YAYYAYAYAYAYAY!”
Meanwhile, Tulip was comforted by friends as she opened up about a difficult day. The support was strong, hugs were shared, and the message was clear: the Wonderbolts fly together, no matter the storm.
