πŸ’« Wingbeats and Brainstorms: A Morning Flight of Laughter, Learning, and Light

πŸŒ„ Dawn at the Academy

The sun hadn’t even stretched over the horizon when the Wonderbolts Academy skies were already alive. At earl in the morning, our cadets gathered, groggy-eyed yet eager, for a session that would prove to be both sweat-drenched and brain-buzzing. Led by SAP Rainbow Dash, with support from SSGT Starlight and several spirited cadets, the morning training shaped into something far beyond routine drills.

β€œUniform if you wanna attend,” came the casual call from Dash, always blending duty with charm.

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ Warm-Ups: Skatzees and Laughter

As the cadets lined up, some sleepy, others nervously new, Dash set the tone with a quick team photo β€” a tradition for the journal. Then began the warm-up drills, color-coded chaos explained with a grin:

β€” β€œRed is for push-ups. Yellow is for burpees. Green is for flappy jacks. Blue is for squats β€” also called SKATZEES.”

Newcomer Apple Bite chimed in with a bit of honesty:
β€” β€œI just need someone to show me what to do for formations lol.”
No worries β€” guidance was offered with patience and encouragement.

πŸŒ€ Formations in Flight: Chevron to Ringlet

Today’s featured formation began as a Chevron but quickly shifted into a Ringlet to better match the group’s confidence. Demonstrations by team leads smoothed the jitters as Apple Bite admitted,
β€” β€œLike a once look at what it is, then I can prob do it.”
They nailed it β€” proving again that bravery isn’t just about speed, but the courage to learn.

Even with mobile users wobbling (β€œSorry, I’m getting used to mobile again ToT”), the spirit soared. Encouragement was constant, with Rainbow Dash cheering:
β€” β€œIt’s ok if you struggle or get lost, it’s expected. Just do your best.”

🏁 Relay and FFA Races: Wings at Full Throttle

The next stage brought the cadets to the raceway, where fun really took off. A relay race tested teamwork and coordination. There were a few stumbles (β€œI got stuck twice tot”), but also plenty of giggles and grit.

When Free-For-All (FFA) was announced, the room lit up. The first to cross the finish line on Dash’s screen?
β€” β€œCheaterberry!” came the teasing declaration.
Even Apple Bite laughed, claiming, β€œIt was me on my screen </3”

β€œAlways think of yourself as 2 hoofs behind them,” someone wisely advised β€” a trick for dealing with screen lag.

πŸ“š Class Time: Trivia with a Twist

As sweat cooled and wings folded, the session turned scholarly. Rainbow Dash transitioned into a rapid-fire trivia game based on training protocols. With questions pulled from the new Hoofbook lessons, cadets had to whisper their answers:

β€” β€œCan the FFA race be skipped? If so, when?”
β€” β€œWhich training type is open to guests?”
β€” β€œName the four warm-up exercises and their colors.”

Each correct answer brought the player a step closer to the trophy line. As Rainbow put it:
β€” β€œWhen you’re at the last line… go and boop the trophy. Means you win.”

The winners? Ender and Cheaterberry β€” though in true Wonderbolts spirit, they tried to give the win to one another.

🌟 Final Moments: Unity in the Sky

As tradition dictates, the final class moment was reserved for a unifying cheer. When Dash shouted the cue, every cadet rose their voices loud and proud:

β€” β€œAltius Volantis, Soaring Higher!!”

Laughter lingered in the air, and despite the early hour, it felt like midday from the warmth of camaraderie.

πŸ’ Skydrop’s Thoughts

This session reminded me that flight isn’t just physical β€” it’s mental, emotional, and shared. Watching these cadets struggle, support, and soar together lit something in my heart. Trivia, teamwork, teasing β€” it’s all part of the wind beneath our wings.

Whether you’re new like Apple Bite, determined like Derpgon, or leading like Starlight and Dash β€” the Wonderbolts aren’t just a squad. We’re a sky full of stars, learning to shine together.

Until next time, cadets…
